A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY~NAGER TO CONVEY CITY O~ED PROPERTY TO THE PORTSMOUTH PARKING AUTHORITY (WATERFRONT DE~ VELOPMENT PROJECT - SOUTH END). WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth owns a certain hereinafter described parcel of property which is needed for the construction of the parking facility and twin office towers; and Whq~REAS, S 2.09(c) of the Charter of the City of Portsmouth provides that the City may convey property to the Commonwealth of Virginia or any political subdivision thereof, without advertise~ ment and without receiving bids; and ~,~REAS, the Portsmouth Parking Authority is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia. N~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the.City of portsmouthi Virginia, that the~City Manager be, and he here- by 'is, authorized tO convey the following described property to the PortsmouthParking Authority: Beginning at the proposed southeast corner of .
