A RESOLUTION AUTH©RIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE AND ~IVE ~IDS <br />FOR ~-~: ~31A_~N CITY-OWNED PROPERTY (DES MOINES FIRE STATION). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth presently owns a certain parcel of <br />property loCated on Des Moines Avenue, more particularly described as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> Ail those certain lots, pieces or parcels of <br />land, with the buildings and ir~prove~nents thereon, situate <br />lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, known, <br />numbered and designated as Lots 26, 27 and 28 in Block 23 <br />on the plat of property of Prentis Park Corporation, recorded <br />in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of <br />Chesapeake, Virginia, in Map Book 7, Page 93, bounded and <br />described as follows: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point on the eastern rmght of way of <br />Des Moines Avenue, said point being 84.2 feet north of the <br />northeastern intersection of Des Moines Avenue and Lincoln <br />Street; thence continuing north along the eastern right of <br />way of Des Moines Avenue 75 feet to a point; thence easterly <br />and parallel with Lincoln Street 100 feet to a point; thence <br />southerly and parallel with Des Moines Avenue 75 feet to a <br />point; thence westerly and parallel with Lincoln Street <br />1OO feet to the Point of Beginning. <br /> <br /> ~rHERFA~, the said property ms no longer needed by the City of Ports- <br />mouth and it is, therefore, declared to be surplus property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia, that the City F~nnager be, and he hereby is, authorized <br />to advertise and receive bids for the hereinabove described property on <br />such terms and subject to such m~nimum bid restrictions as he may deem <br />proper. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at <br />a meeting held July 26, 1977. <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
