52 A RESOLUTION APPO/RY~ING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING THE FO~ STREETS: A PORT%ON OF FIFTH STREETj A POI~U/ON OF SCOIT STREw.±., A POtrffON OF GR/m'~'IN STREET, A PORTION OF RACE STREET, AND A PORTION OF WYTHE STREET. WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Au%hority has made application to vacate and close the hereinafter described porticos of certain streets, and it appearing that notice of application an~ request for the appointment of viewers was duly posted April 19, 1977 on the bulle%in board of the Ci~rcu/t Court of the City of Portsmouth, the bulletin board of the City Hall bui!d/ng of the City of Portsmouth and the bulletin board of the General District Co~urt, Civil Division, of the City of Portsmouth. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Ports- mouth, Virginia that, Frank N. Bilisoly, H. L. Davis, Linon Vann, A. N. Kendrick and C. E. Ellis be appointed viewers and Raymond T~ed be appointed an alternate viewer in the event one of the preceding viewers' fails to participate. Said viewers to view the hereinafter described portion of such street and to report to this Cou~_cil in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the following: FIFTH STREET All that certain piece or tk3rcei of land, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Vir- ginia, and cc~mprising that portion of Fifth Street between Interstate 264 and the Seaboard Coash]~ne Railroad. SCOT~ STREET All that certain piece or parcel of land, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Vir- ginia, and comprising that portion of Scott Street between Washington Street and Fifth Street ($-77-5). All that certain piece or psrcet of land, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Vir- ginia, and cc~prising that portion of Griffin Street between Washington Street and Fifth Street. (S-77-6).
