A RESOLUTION GRANTING APPROVAL FOR A GROUP HOUSING PROJECT <br />PURSUANT TO SECTION 40-55 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTS- <br />MOUTH, VIRGINIA~ 1973, AS AMENDED, THE PROJECT BEING KNOWN <br />AS "SOUTHSIDE GARDEN APARTMENTS" AND DESIGNATED AS GHP-78-2. <br /> <br /> WHEREASt Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing Authority <br />has made application pursuant to Section 40-55 of the Code <br />of the City of Portsmouthr Virgi~ia, 1973, as amended, for <br />the granting and approval of a group housing project known <br />as "Southside Garden Apartments" (GHP-78-2); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the application of same has been determined by <br />the Planning Cormmission to admit the requirements of Section <br />40-55 except as hereinafter stated; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ the Planning Commission has reviewed such appli- <br />cation and the site plans submitted therewith' and has reco~end- <br />ed ~pproval of said application subject to the. conditions <br />hereinafter stated; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer has been informed that approval <br />of a group housing project pursuant to said Section 40-55 <br />of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, grants only <br />an exemption from certain dimensional requirements for re- <br />sidences as stated in said Section 40-55'and does not con- <br />stitute a waiver of any other requirements embodied in the <br />Subdivision Ordinance, Zoning Ordinance, the~ode of the City <br />of Portsmouth and any other applicable State or Federal laws; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer is aware that the building permits <br />and/or any other required permit will be issued only upon com- <br />pliance with ordinances or laws applicable thereto. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />-of Portsmouth, Virginia, that a certain group housing project <br /> known as "Southside Garden Apartments" and designated as GP!P- <br /> 78-2, and more specifically shown on plans submitted by Wash- <br /> ington Associates, Architects, Norfolk, Virginia, attached <br /> hereto and made a part hereof is hereby granted approval. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmoubh, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held October 9, 1978. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
