71 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE "EASTERN CORRIDOr" OF THE PROPOSED <br />NEW SEGMENT OF INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 95. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there has been proposed a new segment of Inter- <br />state Highway 95; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, two routes have been advocated, one east of the <br />City of Richmond, and one west; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an "Eastern Corridor" would be beneficial to the <br />Port and Industrial traffic generated by the Tidewater Community° <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia~ <br />Eastern Corridor as the <br />proposed new segment of <br /> <br />IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />that the City Council endorses ~he <br />route for the eastern corridor of the <br />Interstate Highway 95. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council shall forward <br />a work of this resolution to the District Engineer of the <br />Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation. <br /> <br /> Adopted <br />at a meeting <br /> <br />by the Council of the City of <br />held September 26, 1978. <br /> <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
