A RESOLUTION AU~qORIZING THE CIT~ I~AIAGER TO ADVERTISE AND RECEIVE BIDS FOR CERTAIN CITY-OWNED PROPERTY ON THE SOUTH SIIIE OF-~ORR~MOUTH PCLrLAArARD. WHE~_AS, the City of Portsmouth presently owns ~ parcel of property located on the south side of Portsmouth Boulevard, more particularly described as follows: Ail that certain piece or parcel of land, situate, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, more particularly bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a point on the southern right of way of Portsmouth Bo~]evard, said point being S 77° 39' OO" eas~ 370.00' frc~ the southeast intersection of Portsmouth Boulevsrd and Manor Road; thence frc~ said point of beginning, S 12° 21' OO" west 50.00' to a point; thence S 21° 09' OO" east 370.80' to a point; thence N 68° 51' OO" east 47.75' to a point; ~hence S 77° 36' 00" east 7.39' to a point; thence N 21° 09' OD" west 399.16' %o a point on the southern right of way of Portsmouth Boulevard; thence along the southern right of ~ay of Portsmouth Boulevard N 77° 39' OD" west 31.55' to the Point of Beginning. Said parcel being shown on that cerhain plat entitled: "Plat Showing Surplus Property Of ~he City Of Portsmouth Known As The Duck Pond", dated December 30, 1977, prepared by the Engineering and Technical Services DeparL~nt of the City of Portsrouth, Virginia, said plat being attached'~ hereto. WHEREAS, said land is no longer needed by the City of Portsmouth and is, therefore, declared to be surplus property. NOW, THEREFORE, ~E IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth~ Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to advertise and receive bids for the sale of the hereinabove described property subject to a ~ bid restriction of Fifteen I{undred ($1,5OO.) Dollars and such other terms and conditions as he may deem proper. Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held January 24~ 1978. City Clerk
