62 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING THE FOLLOWING: <br />A PORTION OF A 12-1/2 FOOT ALLEY ON THE NORTH SIDE OF FRANKLIN <br />AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Robert C. and Ruth Jacobs and others have made <br />application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter- <br />described portion of a certain alley, and it appearing that <br />notice of application and request for the appointment of viewers <br />was duly posted August 23~ 1978, on the bulletin board of the <br />General District Court, Civil Division, of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, the~ulletin board of the Circuit Court of the City of <br />Portsmouth, and the bulletin board of the City Hall of the <br />City of Portsmouth.' <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that_~Frank N. Bilisoly, C. E. Ellis, <br />Linon Uann, A. N. Kendrick, James A. Linehan, be appointed <br />viewers and BeIvin W. Blackman be appointed an alternate viewer <br />in the event one'of the preceding viewers fail to participate, <br />said viewe~s:to view the hereinafter-described portion of such <br />alley and to report to this Council in writing; whether in <br />their opin±on~any~ and if any, what inconvenience would result <br />in vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br />1'2-'1/2 FOOT ALLEY <br /> <br /> That certain 12-1/2 foot alley extend- <br />ing from the north side of Franklin Avenue <br />to the south side of Edison Avenue as shown <br />on the pl.at of Highland Park recorded in the <br />Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the <br />City of Chesapeake, in Map Book 16, at page <br />61. The said alley being further described <br />as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point on the north side <br />of Franklin Avenue 110 feet east of the north- <br />east intersection of Franklin Avenue and Deep <br />-Creek Boulevard and running thence in a north- <br />· erly direction to the south side of Edison <br />Avenue at a point 180 feet east of the south <br />· east intersection of Edison Avenue 'in Deep <br />'Creek Boulevard, said property is bounded on <br /> theeast by lots 25 ~hrough 30 inclusive and <br /> on-the east by lots 23 and 24 in Block E on <br /> the aforementioned plat. <br /> <br /> <br />
