A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING T~E FOLLOWING STREET: A PORTION OF EIGHTH STREET BETWEEN FAYETTE STREET AND MADISON STREET. WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing Authority has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter-described portion of a certain street, and it appearing that Notice of Application and request for the appointment of viewers was duly posted August 7, 1978, on the bulletin board of the General District Court, Civil Division, of the City of Portsmouth, and the bulletin board of the City Hall of the City of Portsmouth. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Frank N. Bilisoly, L. A. Clark, James J. Linehan, Raymond Tweed, Linon Vann be appoint- ed viewers and Robert Reed be appointed an alternate viewer in the event one of the preceding viewers fail to participate, said viewers to view the hereinafter described portion of such street and to report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the following: EIGHTH STREET Ail that certain piece or parcel of land, lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Vir- ginia, and comprising that portion of Eighth Street between Fayette Street and Madison Street as more particularly shown on a plat entitled: "Plat Showing Closures of Portions of Eighth Street, Portsmouth, Virginia, for Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority, Effingham Project, VA. R-72", prepared by Hassell & Folkes, Surveyors-Engineers, Portsmouth, Virginia, dated June 19, 1977, a copy of which is attached hereto. Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held August 22, 1978. Teste: City Clerk
