53 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING THE ~OLLOWING STREET: <br />PORTION OF MONTCLAIR AVENUE. <br /> <br />A <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City 6f Portsmouth has made application to vacate, <br />close and discontinue the hereinafter-described portion of a certain <br />street, and it appearing that Notice of Application and request for <br />the appointment of viewers was duly posted May 19, 1978, on the bulletin <br />board of the General District Court, Civil Division, of the City of <br />Portsmouth~ the bulletin board of the Circuit Court of the City of <br />Portsmouth, and the bulletin board of the City Hall of the City of <br />Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia, that Frank N. Bilisoly, John H. Griffin, Charles R. <br />Hudgins, R. Irvin Smith, A. N. Kendrick be appointed viewers and Richard <br />D. Ottavio be appointed an alternate viewer-in the event one of the <br />preceding viewers fail to participate, said viewers to vie%~ the herein- <br />after described portion of such street and to report to this Council in <br />writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience <br />would result in vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br />MONTCLAIR AVENUE <br /> <br /> Beginning at the southeast corner of Portsmouth <br />Boulevard and Montclair Avenue; thence south along <br />the east right-of-way line of Montclair Avenue approxi- <br />mately 224 feet; thence west 30 feet to the wes% right- <br />of-way line of Montclair Avenue; thence north along <br />said right-of-way 224 feet to the south right-of-way <br />line of Portsmouth Boulevard; thence east along said <br />right-of-way 30 feet to the point of origin.
