77. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE GRATITUDE OF THE CITTTO THE <br />SYER FAMILY FOR ITS CONTRIBUTION OF A PORTION OF THE PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 302-304 HIGH STREET AND 408~410 MIDDLE STREET~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ the Syer Family (Virginia B. Syer; Virginia <br />Syer Lewis; Charlotte K. Syer~ Catherine Fontaine Syer and <br />Lee C~ Syer, II) donated to the City of Portsmouth a portion <br />of a building known as the Grants3 Building; and <br /> WHEREAS~ the Grants~ Building is a very important part of <br />the City's downtown development plan~ <br /> NOW, THEP~FORE~ BE IT RESOL%~D by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginiar that the gratitude of the citizens of <br />this City is hereby publicly expressed to the Syer Family <br />in appreciation for the contribution of a portion of the <br />property located at 302-304 High Street and 408-410 Middle Street. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED~ that a copy of this resolution be <br /> spread upon the minutes of this Council and that a copy hereof <br /> be presented to Virginia B. Syer; Virginia Syer Lewis; Charlotte <br /> K. Syer; Catherine Fontaine Syer and Lee C.
