A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY P~ANAGER TO CONVEY OWNED PROPERTY (PEACHTREE LANE) . 54 CITY- WHEREAS, by Subdivision Plat of Peachtree PUD, Section 1, recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, Virglnia~ in Map Book t0, Page the developers thereof, Peachtree Associates, provided for dedication of two (2) pieces o~ land on either side of Peachtree Lane at its northern ~xtremity for the creation of a cul-de-sac for said dead end street pursuant to the requirements of the Subdivision Code of the CiTy of Portsmouth~ and ~EREAS, the aforesaid Subdivision Plat additionally provided that said cul-de-sac was to be abandoned if and when Peachtree Lane was extended beyond this point in a northerly direction; and WHEREAS, by Subdivision Plat of Peachtree PUD, Section 5, recorded in the aforesaid Clerk's Office in Map Book 10, Page 82, Peachtree Lane was extended beyond its original terminus in a northerly direction, having a right-of-way of sixty feet (60~)o NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager ~e, and he '~ereby is, authorized to release any and all right, title and interest which the C~ty of Portsmouth may have acquired in'the temporary cul-de-sac portions lying outside the present sixty foot (60') right-of-way of Peachtree Lane as dedicated in the Plat of Subdivision of Peachtree PUD, ~Section 5¥ recorded in Map Book 10~ Page 82. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and hereby ~s, authorized to execute such documents as may be deemed necessary to complete this transaction. he Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vlrgin~a, at a meeting held on June 26, 1979.
