26 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF CHURCH OF JESUS CRRIST OF <br />THE LATTER DAY SAINTS TO PURCHASE PROPERTY ON E~4HURSTLANE; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by Resolution adopted by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth on February 27, 1979, the City Manager <br />authorized to advertise and receive bids for the sale of <br />certain said property located on the ~est side of Elr~hurst <br />Lane; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ on March 20, 1979, the offer of the Church of <br />Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the amount of One Thousand, <br />Six Hundred Fifty and O0/1OO ($1,650.) Dollars for use of the <br />property in connection with adjoining church property which <br />is~being developed was received; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to con- <br />vey the said property for the consideration and purposes set <br />~forth in said bid. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth~ Vtrginia~ that the bid of the Church of <br />Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to purchase the said pro- <br />perty for the sum of One Thousand, Six Hundred Fifty and <br />OO/100 ($1,650.) Dollars be, and the same h~reby is, accepted. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City_ Manager be~ and <br />he hereby is, authorized to convey the said property and <br />sign such documents as may be necessary to complete this <br />transaction. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held March 27, 1979. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
