21 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ~4ANAGER TO ADVERTISE <br />AND RECEIVE BIDS FOR CERTAIN CITY-OWNED PROPERTY (WEST <br />SIDE EI~iHURST LANE) . <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth presently owns a <br />certian parcel of property located on the west side of <br />Elmhurst Lane, more particularly: <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel <br />of land, with the improvements thereon, <br />situate, lying and being in.he City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, more particularly <br />bounded and described as follows: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point on the west- <br />ern boundary of Elmhurst Lane, said <br />point being 320' south of the southwest <br />intersection of Elmhurst Lane and Cherokee <br />Road; from said point beginning, north <br />76°47'10'' west 106o5' to a point; thence <br />south 02004'48'' west 220' to the western <br />boundary of Elmhurst Lane; thence in a <br />northerly direction along the wes%em <br />boundary of Elmhurst Lane 220', more or <br />less, to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ said property is no longe~ needed by the City <br />of Portsmouth and is, therefore, declared to be surplus <br />property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, <br />and he hereby is, authorized to advertise and receive bids <br />for the hereinabove-described property on such terms and <br />subject to such minimu~ bid restrictions as he may deem <br />proper. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held February 27, 1979. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
