92~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION <br />OF WALDRON AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Gladys D. Harvey~ Arthur J. Stewart, and Laura <br />Stunnette, have made application to vacate, close and dis- <br />continue the hereinafter-described portionof Waldron Avenue, <br />and it appearing that notice of application and request for <br />the appointment of viewers was duly posted on the 12th day <br />of November, 1980, on the bulletin board of the Circuit <br />Court of the City of Portsmouth, General District Court <br />(Civil Division) of the C±ty of Portsmouth, and Juvenile and <br />Domestic Relations District Court of the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that A. N. Kendrick, Howard L. <br />Davis, George Newton Powers, Sr., Clarence Robinson, and <br />James Moss be appointed viewers and that J~es H. Griffin be <br />appointed an alternate viewer in the event that one of the <br />preceding viewers fails to participate,_ said viewers to view <br />the hereinafter-described portion of such street and to <br />report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion <br />any, and if any, what inconvenience would result in vacating <br />and closing the following street: <br /> <br />WALDRON AVENUE <br /> <br /> Beginning at the southeast intersection <br />of Waldron kvenue and Deep Creek ~6ulevard <br />as shown on the plat of Virginia Place, record- <br />~d in Map Book 17, page 73, in the Clerk's <br />Office of the Circuit Court of the City of <br />Chesapeake, Virginia, and thence running..in <br />an easterly direction along the southern side <br />of Wa!dron Avenue approximately 420', which <br />is the northeast corner of Lot 17 as shown <br />on said plat; thence northerly 30' along the <br />same line as if the eastern line of said Lot <br />17 had been extended in a northerlM direction <br />to a point on the northern side of Waldron <br />Avenue; thence in a wester!y direction along <br />the northern side of Waldron Avenue to Deep <br />Creek Boulevard; thence southerly 30' along <br />the boundary of Deep Creek Boulevard to the <br />Point of Beginning. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held Novembe~ 25~ 1980. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
