37 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF THE FOLLOWING <br />STREETS: CAROLINA AVENUE, PINNERS AVENUE, SPENCER STREET, SERPELL <br />STREET, PAGE STREET AND SEABOARD AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth has made application to <br />vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter described portions <br />of certain streets, and it appearing that notice of application <br />and request for the appointment of viewers was duly posted on <br />May 6, 1981, on the bulletin board of the Circuit Court of the <br />City of Portsmouth, the General District Court (Civil Division) <br />of the City of Portsmouth and the City Hall Building of the City <br />of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE. IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that A.N. Kendrick, CharlesR. <br />Hudgins, Robert Reed, Harrison ~{iller and R. Irvine Smith be <br />appointed viewers and that C.E. Ellis be appointed an alternate <br />viewer in the event one of the preceding viewers fails to <br />participate, said viewers to view the hereinafter described <br />portions of such streets and to report to this Council in writing <br />whether in their opinion any, and if any what, inconvenience would <br />result in vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br /> (1) Carolina Avenue-From the east right-ofrway line of <br /> Hill Avenue east to the west right-of-way line <br /> Spencer Avenue <br /> <br />(2) Pinners Avenue-From the east right-of-way line <br /> of Hill Avenue east to the west right-of-way line <br /> of Spencer Avenue <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />Spencer Street-From the ~outh right'-of-way of <br />Seaboard Avenue south for approximately 620 feet <br />to its end near the Midtown Tunnel Expressway <br /> <br />(4) <br /> <br />Serpell Street-From the south right-of-way line <br />of Seaboard Avenue south to the north right-of-way <br />line of Carolina Avenue <br /> <br />(5) <br /> <br />Page Street-From the south right-of-way line of <br />Seaboard A~enue south for approximately 760 feet <br />to its terminas near the Midtown Tunnel Expressway <br /> <br />(6) <br /> <br />Seaboard Avenue-From the east right-of-way line of <br />Hill Avenue east to a point approximately 610 <br />feet more or less west of the west side of Spencer <br />Street. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, VirginIa, <br />at a meeting held May 26, 1981. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
