2O A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF WAY_MAN RIDDICK AND VIRGINIA R!DDICK TO PURCHASE CITY OWNED PROPERTY AT 2507 ELM AVENUE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY. I~EtLE~S, the City of Portsmouth owns certin unimproved real property located at 2507 Elm Avenue, which is no longer required by the City and hereby is, declared as excess pro- perty; and WHEREAS, pursuant to authorization of this Council, the City Manager advertised said property for sale in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the City of Portsmouth; and WHEREAS, one proposal for the purchase of said property for the amount of One Thousand, One Hundred Eighty ($1,180.) Dollars for the purpose of utilizing the same with adjoining residential property for general exterior improvements to their home wi~h a driveway and landscaping was received from Way~n Riddick and Virginia Riddick; and ~'~!ER~AS, it is the opinion of this Council that sale of the property to Wa~lrman Riddick and Virginia Riddick for the stated pu~.~oses ~nd for the consideration of One Thousand, One ~nndred Eighty ($11180.) Dollars is deemed to be the best proposal fer the p~chase and use of the property. NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the proposal of Wayman Riddick and Virginia Riddick to purchase property located at 2507 Elm Avenue for the sum of One Thousand, One Hundred Eighty ($1,180.) Dollars be, and the same hereby is, accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute such deeds and other documents as may be necessary to complete this transaction.
