92 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION CON~3[ENDING THE PARKS P~ND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />AND TPiE OBICI COP~i!TTEE FOR THEIR EFFORTS TOWARDS RESTORING <br />THE OBICI MANSION AND RECOGNIZING THE OBiCI CO~{!TTEE AS AN <br />ADVISORY COPH, EIT_TEE TO THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE PARKS AIND <br />RECREATION CO}E~ISSION; AUTHORIZING THE CITY HANAGER TO <br />ASSIST THE PARKS AND RECREATION CO}~{iSSION AND THE OBiCI <br />CO~v~MiTTEE IN THEIR EFFORTS~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS. the City of Portsmouth is desirous of restoring <br /> · p~ra=~_g ~ne Obici MansiDn as an -~' <br /> ~e3unct of its Sleepy <br />Hole Park Comp!ex} and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ the City recognizes the benefit of volunteer <br />effort and contributions toward thiso.~=~}m4 ..... ~ -~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ the Parks and Recreation Commission has the <br />proven ~'~' - <br /> _ aDi.~ty to create and suppoz~ such volunteer efforts~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has created <br />the Obici Committee for the purpose of so!icitinc donations <br />of time, money ~nd material for the restoration of the Obici <br />Mansion; and <br /> <br /> ~HER~A~, the Council of the City of Portsmouth recognizes <br />the importance of this effort and the ' <br /> oen~z._us that can resul-t <br />for the citizens of the City of Portsmouth e...e~' surrounding <br />areas ~ <br /> <br /> NOW~ THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the <br />City of Pc ~smouth com~_end~: the Parks and Recreation Commission <br />and the Obici Committee for their efforts and formally re- <br />cognizes %be Obici Conal~ittee as an Advisory Committee to the <br />City Counc~i and the Parks and Recreation Commission for the <br />restoration and operation of the Obici Mansion. <br /> <br /> BE iT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Cit?
