NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth requests that the General Assembly of Virginia <br />adopt legislation clarifying that the situs for purposes of the <br />local one (1%) percent sales tax on fuels for domestic con- <br />sumption be the location of the actual sale and use, which is <br />the point of acceptance of the merchandise for use. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth that the City Clerk be, and she hereby is, directed <br />to forward copies of this Resolution to Senator Willard J. <br />Moody, Delegate L~ Cleaves Manning, and Delegate John S.
