86 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR A CLOSING OF A PORTION <br />OF ARMSTRONG STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Adwig Corporation, by its attorney, H. Lee Addison, <br />III, has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter-described portion of Armstrong Street, and it appear- <br />ing that Notice of Application and Request for the Appointment <br />of Viewers was duly posted on November 2, 1981, on the bulletin <br />board of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, the General <br />District Court of the City of Portsmouth and the City Hall Build- <br />ing of the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the C~ <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that A. N. Kendrick, Simon P. Arrington, <br />Richard D. Ottavio, James V. McGhee and Raymond Tweed be appointed <br />viewers and that Howard L.'Davis and George N. Powers, Sr. be <br />appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding <br />viewers fails to participate, said viwers to view the hereinafter- <br />described portions of said street and to report to this Council <br />in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what in- <br />convenience would result in vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br />ARMSTRONG STREET <br /> <br /> Ail that portion of Armstrong Street lying <br />between the south line of High Street and the <br />northerly right-of-way line of the Seaboard Airline <br />Railroad Company.- (S-8t-8) <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth,.Virginia, <br />at a meeting held November 24, 1981. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
