83 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PERMIT TO THE PORTSMOUTH COMMUNITY <br />SERVICES BOARD TO OPERATE A GROUP RESIDENCE AT 2209 HIGH STREET° <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Portsmouth Community ~ervices Board~ pursuant <br />to ~40-68.1Ce) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth~ Virginia, <br />1973, has petitioned for the granting of a use permit as here- <br />inafter-described; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have <br />done all things required to be done in connection with said <br />application~, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended the <br />granting of said use permit. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />sought: <br /> <br />That the use for which the use permit hereinafter is <br /> <br /> (a) Will not adversely affect the health and safety <br />of persons residing ~r working in the neighborhood of the pro- <br />posed use; <br /> <br /> (b) Will not be detrimental to the public use or <br />injurious to property or improvements in the neighborhood; and <br /> <br /> (c) Will be in accord with the purposes of the <br />Zoning Chapter of the City Code. <br /> <br /> 2. The Portsmouth Community Services Board is hereby <br />granted a use permit pursuant to §40-68.1(e) of the Code of <br />the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, to operate a group residence <br />as defined by ~40-31 of the Code of the Ciby of Portsmouth, <br />1973, on the property described as follows: <br /> <br />UP-81-18 <br /> <br /> Beginning on the south side of High Street <br />30' west from its intersection with Harbor Drive; <br />thence south 110.5'~ thence west 90'; thence north <br />110.5' to the south right-of-way of High ~treet; <br />thence east along said right-of-way 90' to the <br />Point of Origin. <br /> <br />3.
