6O A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAANAGER TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED ON PROPERTY FORMERLY CONVEYED BY THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH TO CARLEE REALTY CORPORATION (PORTLAND STREET AND BROAD STREET). WHEREAS, by deed dated July 10, 1959, recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, V~rginia, in Deed Book 333, Page 485, the C~ty of Portsmouth conveyed certain real property iocated at the southwest inter- section of Portland Street and Broad Street, containing 3.418 acres to Carlee Realty Corporation; and WHEREAS, Peck Equipment Company of ~irginia, !nc. has recently contracted to purchase said parcel of real property; and WHEREAS, a current physical survey of said property in- dicates that the description contained in the 1959 deed from the City of Portsmouth to Carlee Realty Corporation was in- correct in its description of the western boundary of said property; and WHEREAS~ it was the intent of the 1959 deed from the City of Portsmouth to Carlee Realty Corporation to convey the entire parcel then owned by the C~ty of Portsmouth~ and WHER~AS~ Peck Equipment Company of Virginia, inc. has requested that the City execute a Quftclaim Deed in order to correct the boundary description of said property; and WHEREAS, Carlee Realty Corporation, and subsequent owners of said proper~y, have complied with all conditions and terms of the 1959 Conveyance of said property. NOW~ THEREFORE, BE. IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute a Quitclaim Deed in order to correct the boundary description and the conveyance of real property by the City of Portsmouth to Carlee Realty Corporation by Deed dated July t©, 1959, recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court for the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, in Deed Book 333, Page 485.
