48 A RESOLUTION GRANTING A ~SE PERMIT TO KOOL KING CORPORATION TO OPERATE A WHOLESALEAND RETAIL MEAT PROCESSING PLA~T AT 4017 TURN-PIKE ROAD. WI~EREAS~ Kool King Corporation, by Joseph L. Edwards, owner, has made application pursuant to Section 40-68.1(e) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter--described;' and Wt{EREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have done all things required to be done in connection with said application; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended the granting of said use permit. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. That the use for which the~use permit hereinafter- described is sought: (a) will not adversely affect the health and safety of persons residing or working in the neigt~borhood of the proposed use; (b) Will not be detrimental to ~/~e public use or injurious to the property or improvements in the'neighborhood; and (c) Will be in accordance with the purposes of the Zoning Chapter of the City Code. 2. Kool King Corporation is hereby granted a use permit pursuant to Section 40-68.1(e) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth to operate a wholesale and retail mea~ processing facility on the property described as follows: UP-82-13 Beginning at the southeast intersection of Turnpike Road and Portsmouth Boulevard; thence east along the south right-of-way of Turnpike Road 200 feet, more or less; thence south 150 feet, more or less, to the north right-of-way of Portsmouth Boulevard; thence westerly along said right-of-way of Portsmouth Boulevard 215 feet, more or less, to Turnpike Road, the point of origin.
