91 <br /> <br />A RES©LUTION REVISING THE LONG-TERM CARE COORDINATING <br />CO~L~iTTEE. <br /> <br /> ~YHEREAS, by resolution adopted September 28, 1982, <br />the C~uncil of the City of Portsmouth established a <br />Long+T~!-mCare Coordinating Committee consisting o~ re- <br />presentatives of the'Portsmouth Departnuent of Public <br />Health~ the Portsmouth Department of Social Services, <br />the Portsmouth Community Services Board, the Southeastern <br />Virginia Area Wide Model Program for Seniors (SEVAMP) and <br />the Nursing Home Pre-Admissions Screening Team for this <br />City~ and designated the Department of Social Services ~o <br />se~e as the lea~ agency thereof~ and <br /> <br /> WHERe-S, it has been deter~ined that in order to <br />carry out its assigned functions~ the Long-Term Care Co- <br />ordinating Committee should be expanded to include re- <br />presentatives of the co,unity at large. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORe, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council Of <br />the City of Portsmouth hereby revises the Long-te~m Co- <br />ordinating Committee by adding as members thereof, in <br />addition to the representatives of the five (5) designated <br />agencies, eigb~ (S) members who shall be appointed at large. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESO~%~ED that all thirteen (13) me~ers <br />shall be appointed by the City Council for a term.of three <br />(3) year~; provided, however, of those first appointed, <br />five (5) shali be appointed for three (3) years, four (4) <br />for two (2) years, and four (4) for one (1) year. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held November 23, 1982. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
