A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF MICHAEL J. WISE TO <br />PURCHASE CITY-OWNED PROPERTY AT 4310 COUNTY STREET; AUTHORIZING <br />THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY. <br /> <br /> W~EREAS, pursuant to instructions of the City Council, <br />th~ hereinafter-described property was advertised for sale <br />pursuant to Section 2.09 of the Charter of the ~ity of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Michael J. Wise made the highest proposal for <br />purchase of the property and the improvements thereon in the <br />amount of Three Thousand, Five Hundred Eighty ($3,580.) Dollars <br />~o~ the purpose of renovating the structure presently located <br />on said property for use as a single family residential dwell- <br />ing in compliance with the R-75 zoning district requirements; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />of Portsmouth <br />and <br /> <br />said property is no longer needed by the City <br />and is hereby declared to be excess property; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the determination of this Council that <br />acceptance of the proposal of Michael J. Wise to purchase said <br />property is in the best interest of the City. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the proposal of Michael J. Wise <br />to purchase the hereinafter-described property known as 4310 <br />County Street for the sum of Three Thousand, Five Hundred <br />Eighty ($3,580.) Dollars for the purpose of renovating the <br />present structure for use as a single family residential <br />dwelling be, and the same hereby is, accepted. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he <br />hereby i~, authorized to execute such deeds and other documents <br />as may be necessary to convey the hereinafter-described pro- <br />perty pursuant to the intent of this resolution: <br /> <br /> Ail those certain lots, pieces or parcels of <br />land situate, lying and being in the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia, known, numbered, and designated <br />as lots 14 and 16, block 17, plat of the Virginia <br />Realty and Investment Company, recorded in the <br />Clerk's Office ~f the Circuit Court of the City <br />of Chesapeake, Virginia, In Map Book 4, Page 94. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />at a meeting held January 12, 1982. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />Virginia, <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
