87 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION GP~ANTING A USE PERMIT TO NEW BETHEL BAPTIST <br />CHURCH TO OPERATE A CHILD DAYCARE CENTER AT 4212 GREENWOOD <br />DRIVE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, New Bethel Baptist Church by Lenora S.' White, <br />Director, made an application pursuant to Section 40-75(b) <br />of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, for <br />the granting of a use permit as hereinafter-described;and <br /> <br /> %~HEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have <br />done al! things required to be done in connection with said <br />application;' and '-- <br /> <br /> WiqEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended the <br />granting of said use permit. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That the use for which the use permit hereinafter <br />is sought: <br /> <br /> (a) Will not adversely affect the health and safety <br />of persons residing or working in the neighborhood of the pro- <br />posed use; <br /> <br /> (b) will not be detrimental to the public use or <br />injurious to ~he property or improvements in the neighborhood; <br /> <br /> (c) Will be in accordance with the purposes of the <br />Zoning Chapter of the City Code. <br /> <br /> 2. New Bethel Baptist Church is hereby granted a use <br />permit pursuant to Section 40-75(b) of the City Code to operate <br />a child daycare center at the property described as follows: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the northwest intersection of <br />Greenwood Drive and Clay Street; thence north <br />along the west right-of-way of Clay Street 160' <br />+ to a point; thence west 167.48'; thence north <br />~6.77'; thence west 170' to the east right-of- <br />way of Tazewell Street; thence south along said <br />right-of-way 240' + to the north right-of-way <br />of Greenwood Driv~ thence east along said <br />right-of-way to Clay Street, the point of origin. <br />(UP-82-8) <br /> <br /> <br />
