84 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORT~ON <br />OF BEECHDALE ROAD. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Industrial Development Authority <br />has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter-described portion of Beechdale Road, and it <br />appearing that notice of application and request for the <br />appointment of viewers was duly advertised according to law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia~ that A. N. Kendrick, Simon P. <br />Arrington, Richard D. Ottavio, James V. McGhee, and Raymond <br />Tweed De appointed viewers, and that C. E. Ellis and C. L. <br />Knight be appointed alternate ~iewer~ in the event one of <br />the preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to <br />view the hereinafter-described portion of such street, and <br />to report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion <br />any, and if any, what inconvenience would result in vacating <br />and closing the following: <br /> <br />BEECHDALE ROAD <br /> <br /> Beginning at the southeast intersection of <br />Beechdale Road and Gust Lane; thence northeasterly <br />along the south right-of-way of Beechdale Road <br />1,255 feet, more or less to a point; thence westerly <br />50 feet to the north right-of-way of Beechdale Road; <br />thence southwesterly along said right-of-way 995 feet, <br />more or less, to the east right-of-way of Gust Lane; <br />thence southwesterly along the east right-of-way of <br />Gust Lane 50 feet to the south right-of-way of Beech- <br />dale Road, the point of origin.
