8O A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY PROPERTY (807 FOURTH STREET AND 329 FAYETTE STREET) TO PORTSMOUTH RE- DEVELOP~4ENTAND HOUSING AUTHORITY. WHEREAS, the City owns certain real property located at 807 Fourth Street and 329 Fayette Street which property ig no lon?er required by the City and is, hereby, declared to be excess~ and WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing~uthority has offered to purchase said property for the sum of Seven Hundred ~enty Dollars ($720.00) for 807 Fourth Street and One Thousand Ninety Dollars ($1,090.00) for 329 Fayette Street for the purpose of development of the Southside IV Redevelopment Project; and WHEREAS, Section 2.09(c) of the City of Portsmouth provides that property may be sold to the Commonwealth of Virginia or a political subdivision thereof without advertisement and receipt of bids; and WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City ~4anager be, and he hereby is, autP~oDized to convey the hereinafter described property to PortsmouthRedevelopment and Housing Authority for the ~unts stated herein, to-wit: All that certain lot of land with the im- purtenences and improvements thereon bounded and described as. follows: Beginni%]g at a point on the east side of Fourth Street at the southwest corner of the lot conveyed to John S. White and Mollie May Winn, wife of Frank J. Winn, by deed dated May 17, 1892, recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, in Deed Book 24, Page 151, said 71.2 feet, more or less, from the southeast intersection (property · ine) of~Fourth Street and Fayette Streets; thence running southerly along the east side of Fourth Street 25 feet to the line of the lot devised to Henry E. White by John S. White; thence easterly and parallel with Fayette Street 90 feet; thence northerly 25 feet to the lines of the said Winn lot; thence westerly along the line of said Winn lot 90 feet to the point of beginning, being known according to the present street numbering system of the City of Ports- mouth as 807 Fourth Street.
