A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION <br />OF REED AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority <br />has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter-described portion of Reed Avenue, and it appearing <br />that notice of application and request for the appointment of <br />viewers was duly advertised according to law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth~ Virginia, that A. N. Kendrick, Lenon Vann, H. <br />G. Ha~iston, James H. Griffin and James L. Linehan be appointed <br />viewers and that James Moss and Clinton Fortune be appointed alter- <br />nate viewers in the event one of the preceding viewers fails <br />to participate, said viewers to view the hereinafter-described <br />portions of said street and to report to this Council in writing <br />whether in their opinion any, and if any~ what inconvenience <br />would result in the vacating and closing of the following: <br /> <br />A PORTION OF REED AVENUE <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of land, <br />lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />comprising that portion of Reed Avenue as shown on <br />a-plat entitled "Plat Showing Portion Of Reed Avenue <br />To Be Closed For Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing <br />Authority"t prepared by the Engineering and Technical <br />Services Department, City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />dated March 8, 1983, a copy of which is attached <br />hereto.
