A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING A PORTION <br />HILL AVENUE. <br /> <br />OF <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Virginia Port Authority has made application <br />to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter described <br />portion of Hill Avenue, and it appearing that notice of <br />application and request for the appointment of viewers was <br />duly advertised as required by law. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that A.N. Kendrick, James Moss, <br />Clinton J. Fortune, Richard D. Ottavio and James H. Griffin <br />be appointed viewers and that Simon P. Arrington and R.E.B. Stewart <br />be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the <br />~receeding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view? <br />~he hereinafter described portion of Hill Avenue and to report <br />to this Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and <br />if any what, inconvenience would result in vacating and closing <br />the following: <br /> <br />HILL AVENUE <br /> <br />at a <br /> <br /> Ail that certain portion of Hill Avenue, now <br />located in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />having a width of 60', beginning at the northern <br />right-of-way of Seaboard Avenue and running south an <br />approximate distance of 1,305' to the northern <br />right-of-way of Wesley Street (formerly Second Street) <br />said portions of Hill Avenue being shown on the <br />plat of Pinners Point Waterfront Company, recorded <br />in the Clerk's office of the Circuit Court of the <br />City of Chesapeake, Virginia, in Map Book 4, page 32, <br />and the plat of Pinners Point Land Company recorded <br />in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the <br />City of Chesapeake~ Virginia, in Ma~ Book 4, page 7. <br />(S-83-8) <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia <br /> meeting held September 13, 1983. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
