A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS POR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION <br />OF RANDOLPH STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority <br />has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the herein- <br />after-described portion of Randolph Street, and it appearing that <br />notice of application and request for the appointment of viewers <br />has been duly advertised as required by law. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City' <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia that A. N. Kendrlck, J. R. Wilkerson,. <br />Howard L. Davis, George N. Powers, Sr. and C. L. Knight be <br />aQpointed viewers, and that James V. McGhee and Hairson Miller <br />b~ appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding <br />viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view the herein- <br />after-described portion of Randolph Street and to report to this <br />Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, <br />what inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the <br />following: <br /> <br />RANDOLPH STREET <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of land, <br />lying and being in the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, comprising that portion of Randolph Street <br />which is bounded on the west by the eastern right- <br />of-way line of Effingham Streetr and on the east <br />by the western right-of-way line of Green Street. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held September 13, 1983o <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
