66 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PERMIT TO OPERATE A CHURCH AND <br />PLACE OF WORSHIP AT 2608 AIRLINE BOULEVARD. _ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Clarence Winfield, Chairman of the Board of <br />the Olive Branch Baptist Church, made an application pursuant <br />to Section 40-71 ('b) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, 1973, for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter- <br />described; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have <br />done all things required to be done in connection with said <br />application; and <br /> <br /> ~H~R~-~S, the Planning Commission has reco~amended the <br />grouting of said use permit. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That the use for which the use permit hereinafter- <br />described is sought: <br /> <br /> fa) Will not adversely <br />of persons residing or working in <br />proposed use; <br /> <br />affect the health and safety <br />the neighborhood of the <br /> <br /> (b) <br />injurious to <br />and <br /> <br /> Will not be detrimental to the public use or <br />the property and improvements in the neighborhood; <br /> <br /> (c) Will be in accordance with the purposes of the <br />Zoning Chapter of the City Code. <br /> <br /> 2. Olive Branch Baptist Church is hereby granted a use <br />permit pursuant to ~40-71(b) Of the Code of the City of Ports- <br />mouth to ope{ate a church and place of worship, including ed- <br />ucational buildings, on the p~operty designated as 2608 Airline <br />Boulevard and described as Tax Plate 440, Parcel 2 (UP-83-13). <br /> <br /> 3.
