37 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING OF A PORTION OF GREEN <br />STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority <br />has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter described portion of Green Street, and it appearing <br />that notice of application and request for the appointment of <br />viewers has been duly advertised as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that A. N. Kendrick, Albert J. Carr, <br />Howard L. Davis, George N. Powers, Sr. and C. L. Knight be <br />appointed viewers, and that H. G. Harirston and James H. Griffin <br />be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of the preceeding <br />viewers fails to participate, said viewers to view the hereinfter <br />described portion of Green Street and to report to this Council <br />in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what <br />inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br />GREEN STREET <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of land <br />lying and being in the city of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, being more particularly described as <br />that portion of Green Street bounded on the <br />north by a line 89.5 feet south and parallel <br />to South Street and bounded on the south by <br />the northern side of Bart Street. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held May 14, 1985. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
