35 A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PERMIT TO MARYVIEW HOSPITAL CORPORATION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF WILLETT DRIVE AND WEST ROAD. WHEREAS, Maryview Hospital Corporation has made application for an amendment to a use permit for the operation of a hospital and related facilities on High Street at Willett Drive approved by resolution adopted by the Council of the City.of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held April 23, 1974; and WHEREAS, the applicant and the Planning Director have done all things required to be done in connection with said application, and the Planning CommisSion has recommended that said use permit be granted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: sought: That the use for which the use permit is (a) Will not affect the health and safety of persons residing or working in the neighborhood of the proposed use; (b) Will not be detrimental to the public use or injurious to the property or improvements in the neighborhood; and (c) Will be in accord with the purposes of the zoning chapter of the City Code. 2. Maryview Hospital Corporation is hereby granted an amendment to the use permit adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held April 23, 1974 in order to permit the operation of a parking lot to meet the parking requirements for Maryview Hospital and a professional office building proposed for the northeast corner of High Street and Willett Drive on the property described as follows: UP-85-4 BEGINNING at the southeast corner of West Road and willett Drive; thence easterly along the south right-0f-way of West Road 298.01' to a point; thence southerly 329.90'; thence westerly 297' to the east right-of-way of willett Drive; thence northerly along said right-of-way 310.65' to West Road, the point of origin.
