29 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE FOR CONSIDERATION BY THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE 1985-86 OPERATING BUDGET, THE IMPOSITION <br />AND LEVYING OF TAXES AND FEES FOR THE PURPOSE OF RAISING REVENUE <br />FOR THE SUPPORT OF GOVERNMENTAL OPERATIONS AND THE PUBLIC <br />SCHOOLS AND GENERAL REVENUE SHARING. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of PortSmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That at the regularly scheduled City Council Meeting <br />on April 23, 1985 at 7:00 p. m. in the Council Chamber, 6th <br />Floor, City Hall, the City Manager shall submit to the City <br />Council the 1985-86 Operating Budget proposal. <br /> <br /> 2. That a Special Meeting of the City Council will be <br />held on April 30, 1985 at 7:00 D. m. in the Council Chambers, <br />6th Floor, City Hall, for the purpose of a public hearing on <br />the 1985-86 Operating Budget, the imposition and levying of <br />taxes and fees for the purpose of raising revenue for ~he <br />support of governmental operations and the public schools <br />and general revenue sharing. <br /> <br /> 3. That a Special Meeting of the City Council will be <br />held on May 7, 1985 at 7:00 p. m. in the Council Chambers, <br />6th Floor, City Hall, for the purpose of consideration by the <br />City Council of the 1985-86 Operating Budget, the imposition <br />and levying of taxes and fees for the purpose of raising revenue <br />for the support of governmental operations and public schools, <br />and general revenue sharing and such other matters as may be <br />deemed appropriate. <br /> <br /> 4. That at the regularly scheduled City Council Meeting <br />on May 14, 1985 at 7:00 p. m. in the Council Chambers, 6th Floor, <br />City Hall, the City Council shall consider final adoption of the <br />1985-86 Operating Budget, the imposition and levying of taxes <br />and fees for the purpose of raising revenue for the support of <br />governmental operations and the public schools, and general <br />revenue sharing and such other matters as may be deemed appro- <br />priate. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held April 9, 1985. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
