28 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION <br />OF COLUMBIA STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Robert Ewell and Nell Ewell, by their attorney, <br />Stuart H. Held, have made application to vacate, close and <br />discontinue the hereinafter described portion of Columbia <br />Street, and it appearing that notice of application and <br />request for the appointment of viewers has been duly adver- <br />tised as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that A. N. Kendrick, Charles R. <br />Hudgins, Robert Reed, Harrison Miller and R. E. B. Stewart <br />be appointed viewers and that Matthew L. Peanort and Richard <br />D. Ottavio be appointed alternate viewers in the event one <br />of the preceeding viewers fails to participate, said viewers <br />to view the hereinafter described portion of Columbia Street <br />and to report to this Council in writing whether in their <br />opinion any. and if any, what inconvenience would result <br />in vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br />COLUMBIA STREET <br /> <br /> Ail that certain lot, piece of parcel of <br />land, located in the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />g£nla, and described as Columbia Street, having <br />as its western boundary Meander Road; its North- <br />ern boundary Parcel 85; its Eastern boundary <br />Jamestown Avenue, and its Southern boundary <br />Parcel 86. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held April 9, 1985. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
