136 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN A DEED OF <br />RELEASE OF A WATERLINE EASEMENT IN CHURCHLAND SHOPPING CENTER. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by deed recorded in Deed Book 611, page 387, in <br />the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, the owners of property known as <br />Churchland Shopping Center dedicated a certain 10' waterline <br />easement to the City of Portsmouth; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said waterline easement is no longer used by <br />Public Utilities Department and said waterlines are to be <br />relocated by the present owner of the Churchland Shopping <br />Center and a new easement dedicated to the City. <br /> <br />the <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he <br />hereby is, authorized to sign a Deed of Release for the 10' <br />waterline easement dedicated by deed recorded in Deed Book <br />611, page 387 in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of <br />the City of Portsmouth, Virginia. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he <br />hereby is, instructed to obtain from the property owner.s a <br />dedication of a new waterline easemenu prior to releasing the <br />existing easement. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held November 26, 1985. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
