121 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A <br />LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE PORTSMOUTH PARKING AUTHORITY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City owns certain property adjacent to the <br />1846 CourthOuse Museum, which property has been developed as a <br />public parking lot; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said property is to be placed under the control <br />of the Portsmouth Parking Authority for the purpose of <br />administration, operation as a public parking lot and <br />maintenance thereof; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the te~m of said lease shall be for a period not <br />to exceed twenty years, subject to the right of the City to <br />terminate said lease at its pleasure. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manage~ be, and he <br />hereby is, authorized to enter into a lease agreement with the <br />Portsmouth Parking Authority for that property adjacent to the <br />1846 Courthouse Museum known as the Museum Parking Lot, <br />subject to the terms and conditions hereinabove set forth. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held October 22, 1985. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
