112 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING APPROVAL FOR A GROUP HOUSING <br />PROJECT PURSUANT TO SECTIQN 40-55 OF THE CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, SAID PROJECT BEING <br />KNOWN AS "RIVER EDGE" PHASE I, AND CONSISTING OF 60 <br />CONDOMINIUM UNITS AND DESIGNATED AS GHP-84-22 REVISED. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Partners, by A. P. Ditteaux, <br />General Partner, and Bush Construction Corporation, <br />Managing General Partner, has made application pursuant <br />to ~40-55 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, 1973, for the granting and approval of a <br />revision to group housing project GHP-84-22; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the application includes Phase I of a ten <br />(10) year project which will result in the construction <br />of six hundred (600) condominium units, and Phase I <br />includes sixty (60) condominium units for the Detroit <br />Street area of Wallace Circle; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, by a resolution adopted January 8, 1985, <br />granted approval for group housing project GHP-84-22, <br />and the applicant ha~ requested a review of a revision <br />to such project which includes the same number of units, <br />however, the site design and traffic patterns have been <br />revised; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the application has been determined by the <br />Planning Commission to have met the requirements of <br />~40-55, and said Commission has reviewed the application <br />and site plan submitted therewith and has recommended <br />conditional approval of the application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer has been informed that <br />approval of the group housing project pursuant to ~40-55 <br />grants only an exemption from certain requirements for <br />residences as stated in said section, and does not <br />constitute a waiver of any other requirement embodied in <br />the subdivision, ordinance, zoning ordinance, Code of <br />the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, or any other <br />applicable local, state or federal law or regulation; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer is aware that <br />permits or any other required permit will <br />upon compliance with the ordinances, laws <br />applicable thereto. <br /> <br />building <br />be issued only <br />or regulations <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of <br />the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the certain group <br />housing project consisting of sixty (60} condominium <br />units to be known as "River Edge" Phase I, to be <br /> <br /> <br />
