91 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE CONGRATULATIONS OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH TO THE CHARLES PEETE SENIOR <br />LEAGUE ALL STAR TEAM, CHARLES PEETE JUNIOR LEAGUE ALL STAR <br />TEAM, CHURCHLAND LITTLE LEAGUE ALL STAR TEAM, CHURCHLAND <br />PONY LEAGUE ALL STAR TEAM, CHURCHLAND COLT LEAGUE ALL STAR <br />TEAM, CHURCHLAND THOROUGHBRED LEAGUE TEAM, CHURCHLAND <br />TRAINING LEAGUE SOFTBALL ALL STAR TEAM AND OLIVE BRANCH <br />SENIOR LEAGUE SOFTBALL ALL STAR TEAM AND THEIR COACHING <br />STAFFS FOR THEIR HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL 1985 BASEBALL SEASONS. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Charles Peete Senior League Ail Star Team <br />won the 1985 District VI Senior League Championship and <br />represented the City in the State Tournament; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Charles Peete Junior League All Star Team <br />won the 1985 District VI Junior League Championship and <br />represented the City in the State- Tournament;and <br /> WHEREAS, the Churchland Little League All Star Team <br />won the 1985 District VI Little League Championship and <br />represented the City in the State Tournament; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Churchland Pony League All Star Team won <br /> the 1985 District IV Championship and represented the <br /> District in the Sectional Tournament; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Churchland colt League All Star Team won <br /> the 1985 District IV Championship and represented the <br /> District in the Sectional Tournament~ and <br /> WHEREAS, the Churchland Thoroughbred League Team won <br /> the 1985 District IV Championship tournament, the Sectional <br /> Championship and participated in the East Zone National <br /> Senior Tournament held in Amsterdam, New York; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Churchland Training League Softball All <br /> Star Team won the Hampton Roads USSSA Championship, <br /> Tidewater Youth Championship, USSSA State Virginia <br /> Championship and were runner-up in the ASA Regional <br /> Championship and competed in the World National USSSA <br /> Championship; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the <br />Star Team won <br />Championship; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />athletic achievements, have represented <br />Portsmouth in a commendable manner; and <br /> <br /> Olive Branch Senior League Softball Ail <br />the 1985 District VI Senior League Softball <br />and <br /> <br />each of these Leagues, by their successful <br /> the City of <br /> <br /> <br />
