52 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING <br />LITTLE JOHN ROAD. <br /> <br />VIEWERS <br /> <br />FOR CLOSING OF A <br /> <br />PORTION OF <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment & Housing Authority <br />has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the <br />hereinafter described portion of Little John Road, and it <br />appearing that notice of application and request for the <br />appointment of viewers was duly advertised as required by <br />law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that A.N. Kendrick, James <br />Moss, Clinton J. Fortune, Matthew L. Peanort and L.A. Clark <br />be appointed viewers and that James H. Griffin and Howard <br />L. Davis be appointed alternate viewers in the event one of <br />the preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers to <br />view the hereinafter described portion of such street and <br />to report to this Council in writing whether in their <br />opinion any, and if any what, inconvenience would result in <br />vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br />LITTLE JOHN ROAD <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of land, <br />situate, lying and being in the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, being a portion of <br />Little John Road, being more particularly <br />described as follows: beginning at a point on <br />the easterly side of Ponderosa Street, 230.37 <br />feet in a northwesterly direction from the <br />northeast intersection of Ponderosa Street and <br />Elmhurst Lane; thence running north 44 <br />degrees, 57 minutes west along Ponderosa <br />Street, 51.11 feet to a pin; thence turning <br />and running north 57 degrees, 0 minutes east <br />along the p~operty now or formerly owned by <br />Portsmouth Redevelopment & Housing Authority a <br />distance of 199.~8 feet; thence turning and <br />running south 44 degrees, 57 minutes east <br />along property now or formerly belonging to <br />Lincoln Pre-Cast Company, Inc., a distance of <br />51.11 feet to a pin; thence turning and <br />running south 57 degrees, 0 minutes west along <br />the property now or formerly belonging to <br />Marvin L. Spring a distance of 199.78 feet to <br />the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> <br />
