47 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF J.D. ELROD TO PURCHASE <br />CITY-0WNED PROPERTY AT 2225 FREDERICK BOULEVARD; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City owns certain hereinafter-described <br />real property located at 2225 Frederick Boulevard, which <br />property is no longer needed for public purposes and is, <br />hereby, declared to be excess property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the Charter of the City of <br />Portsmouth said property has been advertised for sale; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the highest bid received was from J.D. Elrod <br />in the sum of $3,500.; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth deems <br />it to be in the best interests of the City to sell said <br />property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the bid of J.D. Elrod to <br />purchase City-owned property located at 2225 Frederick <br />Boulevard~for the sum of $3,500. be, and the ssme hereby <br />is,_ accepted. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and <br />he hereb~ is, authorized to convey that certain residential <br />structure described according to the present street <br />numbering system as 2225 Frederick Boulevard, Portsmouth, <br />Virginia to J.Do Elrod. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginla, at a meeting held May 28, 1985. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
