valuation of exempt real estate for purposes of this section, <br />artistic and historical significance shall not be taken into <br />account. Any person aggrieved by the assess/nent or the <br />valuation of real estate for the purposes of this section <br />may apply to the city assessor for correction thereof. If <br />the city assessor advises that the assessment or valuation <br />is erroneous, he shall correct the same. Any person aggrieved <br />by the decision of the city assessor may appeal to the Circuit <br />Court of the City of Portsmouth, as provided in §58.1-3984 <br />of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended. <br /> <br /> 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from the <br />date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meetfng held February 12, 1985. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
