ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z-85-36. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That the portion of the Zoning Map attached to <br />and made a part of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of <br />Portsmouth, 1973, which now zones as Residential R-75-S, <br />the property described in petition for Zoning Amendmen~ <br />Z-85-36 is hereby amended and changed so as to show said <br />property as described herein zoned as Commercial C-2-K <br />Conditional, and that-said property as described herein <br />is hereby zoned C-2-K Conditional. <br /> <br /> 2. The property affected by this ordinance is <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />Z-85-36 <br /> <br /> Beginning on the west side of Hamilton <br />Avenue 51 feet north from its intersection <br />with Watson Street; thence west 98 feet; <br />thence north 85.50 feet; thence east 98 <br />feet to the west right-of-way of Hamilton <br />Avenue; thence south along said right-of-way <br />85.50 feet to the point of origin. <br /> <br /> 3. Zoning Ordinance Amendment Z-85-36 is <br />conditioned upon the fcllowing as prcffered by the <br />petitioner: <br /> <br /> (a) The area is to be utilized only for <br />vehicular parking (parking lot) in .conjunction with the <br />operation of the adjacent commercial establishment. <br /> <br /> (b) No curb cut is to be permitted on <br />Hamilton Avenue. <br /> <br /> (c) The parking area shall be <br />allweather, non-dust generating surface. <br />spaces shall be delineated. <br /> <br />paved with <br /> Ail parking <br /> <br /> (d) Landscaping shall be provided in such a <br />manner so as to provide a buffer between the Hamilton <br />commercial area and the adjacent residential areas. The <br />Planning Department has the right to review and approve <br />the landscaping plan. <br /> <br /> (e) The construction of the parking lot will <br />be in compliance with the requirements of the applicable <br />provisions of the City Code. <br /> <br /> <br />
