(1) When the vehicle overtaken is making or <br />about to make a left turn, and the driver of such <br />vehicle has given a signal as required. <br /> <br /> (2) Upon a street or highway with <br />unobstructed pavement not occupied by parked vehicles of <br />sufficient width for two (2) or more lines of moving <br />vehicles in each direction. <br /> <br /> (3) Upon a one-way street where the roadway <br />~s free from obstructions and of sufficient width for <br />two (2) or more lines of moving vehicles. <br /> <br />Section 23-141. Vehicles approaching or entering <br /> intersections. <br /> <br /> (c) Except as provided above and in Sections <br />23-143 and 23-141.1, when two (2) vehicles approach or <br />enter an intersection at approximately the same time, <br />the driver of the vehicle on the left shall yield the <br />right-of-way to the vehicle on the right unless a "yield <br />right-of-way" sign or other traffic control is posted. <br />Where any such sign is posted, the driver of the vehicle <br />approaching or entering such intersection on the <br />highway, road or street on which such sign is posted <br />shall yield the ~ight-of-way to the driver of a vehicle <br />approaching or enterinq such intersection from either <br />direction. <br /> <br />Section 23-147. <br /> <br />Operation of vehicle upon approach of <br />emergency vehicle. <br /> <br /> (a) Upon the approach of any vehicle listed in <br />paragraph (a) of Section 23-4 giving audible signal by <br />siren, exhaust whistle, air horn designed to give <br />automatically intermittent signals, and displaying a <br />flashing, blinking or alternating emergency light or <br />lights as provided in Section 23-365, the driver of <br />every other vehicle shall immediately drive the same to <br />a position as near as possible and parallel to the <br />right-hand edge or curb, clear of any intersectIon of <br />highways, and shall stop and remain in such position <br />unless otherwise directed by a police or traffic officer <br />until such vehicle shall have passed. <br /> <br />Section 23-214. Stopping on highway in dangerous <br /> manner; emergencies. <br /> <br /> (a) No vehicle shall be stopped in such a manner <br />as to impede or render dangerous the use of the highway <br />by others, except in the case of an emergency as the <br />result of an accident or mechanical breakdown, in which <br />case the emergency flashing lights of such vehicle shall <br /> <br /> <br />
