38 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION <br />OF OAST LANE. <br /> <br /> W~EREAS, R. C. Barclay, III and Mary B. Potter have made <br />application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter- <br />described portion of Oast Lane, and it appearing that notice <br />of application and request for the appointment of viewers was <br />duly advertised as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that A. N. Kendirck, Charles R. Hudgins, <br />Robert Reed, Harrison Miller and R. E. B. Steward be appointed <br />viewers, and that Matthew L. Pe&nort and Raymond Tweed be ap- <br />pointed alternate viewers in the event one of the preceding <br />viewers fails to participats, said viewers to view the herein- <br />after-described portion of such street and to report to this <br />Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, <br />what inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the <br />following: <br /> <br />OAST LANE <br /> <br /> Ail that portion of Oast Lane beginning at <br />a point on the northerly line of Queen Street, <br />which point is 190' easterly of the northeast in- <br />tersection of Queen Street and Primrose (formerly <br />Pearl) Street, and from said point, running north <br />and parallel with Primrose Street 136'; thence <br />east and parallel with Queen Street 20'; thence <br />south and parallel with Primrose Street 136' to <br />the northern line of Queen Street; thence west <br />along the northern line of Queen Street 20' to the <br />point of beginning. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held April 24, 1984. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
