4 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF MN UNI~AMED <br />ALLEY ON THE WEST SIDE OF RODMAN AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WI~EREAS, Robert C. Barclay, III, attorney for Thomas <br />C. Culpepper, Robert B. Quinn, Jr., John E. Parrish and <br />Sol Soroko, has made application to vacate, close and dis- <br />continue the hereinafter-described portion of a certain <br />street, and it appearing that notice of application and <br />request for appointment of viewers has been duly advertised <br />as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia that A. N. Kendrick, Simon P. <br />Arrington, Richard D. Ottavio, James V. 5lcGhee, and Raymond <br />Tweed be appointed viewers, and that Harrison Miller and <br />C. L. Knight be appointed alternate viewers in the event one <br />of the preceeding viewers fails to participate, said viewers <br />t~ view the hereinafter-described portion of such street and <br />to report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion <br />any, and if any, what inconvenience would result from vacating <br />and closing the following: <br /> <br /> That portion of the alley 10 feet in width <br /> shown on the plat of "Waterview", duly recorded <br /> in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the <br /> City of Chesapeake, Virginia, in Map Book 17, pages <br /> 58 and 59, running through the center.pf Block 4 <br /> and along the western boundary of Block 4(A) on <br /> said plat which lies between a line drawn parallel <br /> to and distant 300 feet S. 34~ 04' west from the <br /> eastern line of Rockbridge Road (forTaerly Loudoun <br /> Street) which line is the prolongation nortD~.~ard <br /> Of the dividing line between Lots 13 and 14 in <br /> Block 4 of said plat of "Waterview", and the west <br /> side of Rodman Avenue as the same now exist after <br /> being recently widened 10 feet. Said portion of <br /> the aforesaid alley is bounded by parcels 5 and 9 <br /> on Tax Map 355, Parcel 1 on Tax Map 354 and an un- <br /> numbered parcel marked "City of Portsmouth" on both <br /> maps. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br /> at a meeting held January 10, 1984. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
