27 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AS A GIFT FROM AMELIA G. McLEAN THE <br />CONVEYANCE OF 2.77 ACRES OF LAND. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, A~elia G. McLean owns a certain parcel of un- <br />developed land located in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />which ~she wishes to donate and convey to the City of Ports- <br />mouth for the benefit of the City of Portsmouth and its <br />citizens; and <br /> <br /> ~ETEREAS, at the request of the City of Portsmouth, said <br />property was recently appraised at the value of Forty Four <br />Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($44,500), which is believed <br />to represent the present fair market value of said property; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth has <br />determined that the acquisition of said property will be <br />beneficial to the City of Portsmouth and its citizens. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City of Portsmouth <br />shall, and does hereby accept with deep gratitude as a <br />gift from Amelia G. ~4cLean, for the benefit of the City of <br />Portsmouth and its citizens, that certain parcel of land <br />located in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, adjacent to <br />Interstate 264 at Frederick Boulevard overpass, containing <br />2.77 a6res, particularly set out and described in a deed <br />of gift from AJ~eIia G. McLean to the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, bearing date on the 29th day of February, 1984, <br />a copy of which deed is hereto attached and by this reference <br />made a part hereof. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia at a meeting held March 27, 1984. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
