A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSURE OF A PORTION <br />OF NOTTA$~Y AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth has made application to <br />vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter-described <br />portion of Nottaway Avenue, and it ~ppearing that notice of <br />application and request for the appointment of viewers was <br />duly advertised as required by law. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia,~ that A. N. Kendrick, Charles <br />R. Hudgins, Robert Reed, Harrison Miller and R. E. B. Stewart <br />be appointed viewers, and that Howard L. Davis and Clinton <br />J. Fortune be appointed alternate viewers in the event one <br />of the preceding viewers fails to participate, said viewers <br />to view the hereinafter-described portion of such street and <br />to report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion <br />any, and if any, what inconvenience would result in vacating <br />and closing the following: <br /> <br />NOTTAWAY AVENUE <br /> <br /> Ail that certain portion of Nottaway Avenue <br />extending south from the southern right-of-way <br />of Dartmouth Street for a distance of 108.5'. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held March 13, 1984. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
