90 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING APPROVAL FOR A GROUP HOUSING PROJECT <br />PURSUANT TO SECTION 40-55 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTS- <br />MOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1973, SAID PROJECT BEING DESIGNATED AS <br />GHP-84-11. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, MGB Associates, by Richard Griffith,'Jr., partner, <br />has made application pursuant to $40-55 of the Code of th~ <br />City of Portsmouth, 1973, for the granting and approval of <br />a group housing project consisting of a four (4) unit apartment <br />buildin~ to be developed at 2550 Detroit Street, Portsmouth, <br />Virginia; and <br /> <br /> W/tEREAS, the application has been determined by the Plan- <br />ning Commission to have met the requirements of 940-55 of tee <br />Code of the City of Portsmouth,'Virginia, 1973~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Co~ission has reviewed such appli- <br />cation and site plans submitted therewith and ha~ recommended <br />approval of said application; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer has been informed that approval of <br />a group housing project pursuant to ~40-55 grants only an exempt- <br />ion from certain requirements for residences as stated in said <br />section and does not constitute a waiver of any other reauirement <br />ermbodied in the subdivision ordinance, zoning ordinance, Code <br />of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, or any other applicable <br />local, state or federal law or regulation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer is aware that building permits or <br />any other required permit will be issued only upon compliance <br />with the ordinances, laws, or regulations applicable thereto. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREPORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the certain group housing project <br />consisting of a four (4) unit apartment building at 2550 Detroit <br />Street and designated as GHP-84-I1, as shown on plans prepared <br />and filed with the appropriate, officials of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia, as described in correspondence prepared on <br />behalf of the applicant by the Yates Group, Architects, all <br />of which are made a part hereof, is hereby granted approval. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held September 25, 1984. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
