AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA, 1973, BY AMENDING SECTION 23-304 (a) THEREOF, <br />PERTAINING TO THE DUTIES OF MOTOR VE~ICLE DRIVERS. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 23-304 (a) of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, 1973, be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 23-304. Duties of driver generally. <br /> <br /> (a) The driver of any vehicle involved in an accident <br />in which an attended vehicle or other attended property is <br />damaged but in which no person is injured or killed shall <br />immediately stop as close to the scene of the accident as <br />possible without obstructing traffic and report forthwith to <br />the police authority; and, in addition, to the driver or <br />some other occupant of the vehicle collided with or to the <br />custodian of other damaged property, his name, address, <br />operator's or chauffeur's license number and the reg!stration <br />number of his vehicle. <br /> <br /> 2. This ordinance shall take effect as of the date of <br />its adoption. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held November 20, 1984. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
